Bill Cosby accused of sexual assault, harassment
Bill Cosby, the famous comic actor, has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman, according to a new report.
The women who spoke to The Associated Press alleged that Cosby drugged and raped them in various settings.
Cosby was arrested in May after he was accused of assaulting his then-fiancee, Andrea Constand, at his home in a suburban Philadelphia suburb in 2016.
Constand’s lawyers have said that Cosby was never charged, but a jury in October convicted him on three counts of aggravated indecent assault and one count of indecent assault.
Cosby is currently on a $1.5 million bond, which could be reduced if he can show he is mentally competent.
Cosby’s lawyer, Marty Singer, declined to comment when reached by AP.
Cosby, 73, who has been married to wife Gwyneth Paltrow since 1980, has starred in the sitcom “The Cosby Show” and has starred on television shows including “The Dick Van Dyke Show” in the 1990s and “The View” in 2016 and 2017.
He is best known for his portrayal of Bill Cosby on the hit NBC sitcom “Cosby.”
Cosby was one of several celebrities to come forward this week, including actor George Takei, actor Anthony Anderson and comedian Adam Sandler, who all spoke out about sexual assault allegations against Cosby.
